Project brief.

Bundles of Hope is a Long Eaton community charity that provides free baby and children's clothing, nappies and essentials to families with young children. They needed a friendly, reassuring website that helps families in need find help without stigma, makes it easy for health professionals to refer, and encourages donations and volunteers.

Challenges & Solutions

Every project has a few problems to solve. Here is what we ran into on this build and how we handled it.

1

Helping families without stigma

Asking for help is hard. We used warm, plain, non-judgemental language and a gentle design so families feel welcome, and made the drop-in times and what's on offer clear and easy to find.

2

Serving three audiences at once

The site needed to speak to families, health professionals referring them, and donors and volunteers. We gave each a clear path from the homepage so everyone finds what they need quickly.

3

Keeping it easy and low-cost to run

As a charity, budget and time are tight. We kept the build lightweight and set up a simple CMS so volunteers can update opening times, appeals and news themselves without any technical help.
